When I started in Youth Work I wish I had someone I could turn to and ask the hard questions. Opportunities to ask an expert in my field that would not judge me for the things I did not know. I am most excited to be that person one for you. No one knows everything but putting two heads together will allow us to problem solve challenges that you come across. I will not “give you the answer” but I will help you get to the right answer.
WHY DO YOU NEED A MENTOR? We all know how hard taking the next step in our career can be. Have you ever been a little lost on what the next steps are? Moving from an amazing seasonal staff person does not always transfer to an amazing year round staff person. Have you ever walked out of a meeting with an assignment and not know how to get going or if you can fit the additional work into your day. These are all common feelings that everyone has. Summer Camp Program Design
"We have always done it that way" is the main way a program becomes stale. Take time to learn best practices on evaluating your day camp program and work with your team to develop new innovative philosophy.
Engaging parents in the conversation is important and will turn them into advocates for change. People enjoy change if they feel like they are involved. This 10-month long process will show you how.
Mentor
Mentoring includes: Monthly, 30 minute video call with coaching for camp/ after school/ program directors. Focus will be in 2 targets topics. One additional annual consultation with your supervisor about setting up the plan for your success. This conversation will include the mentee, supervisor and mentor. Unlimited quick text or calls as needed.

Annual Support Campaign
Work with a professional who know the correct steps to build your business. Annual Support Campaign consulting consist in getting your non-profit on the correct track. Michael has been apart of several campaigns helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that can be used to make a large impact in the lives of the people in your community. Michael has been a Faculty Trainer in Introduction to Fundraising for YMCA of the USA.
Dynamic After School Design
Do you feel you can be doing more with your after school program? Working with children while building a meaningful program after a long day of school is a challenge. Making sure homework is done, children and staff are engaged, and your program is not babysitting are the key to your programs success.

ACA Accreditation
Need some guidance getting your camp accredited through the ACA? I have the experience through the process of serving as a local standard chair, standards instructor, and accrediting my own camps.
