01:17 Máté Kerényi; Bátor Tábor (Camp of Courage)
Máté Kerényi is a Prague-based camp professional working as Head of Program Development for the Czech branch ofBátor Tábor Foundation. Bátor Tábor (which translates to Camp of Courage) is an international organization in Central Europe, providing free therapeutic camps and outreach programs for children fighting chronic illnesses. We have served over 10.000 children and families from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic in our camp in Hungary in the past 19 years. For the past three years I was the camp director of our international oncology sessions (serving kids with oncology-related illnesses from Poland, Slovakia and Czechia), and starting this year I'm leading our program development in Czechia, establishing a new camp and a hospital program in the country. Bátor Tábor is part of a worldwide network of therapeutic camps, called Serious Fun Children's Network, founded by Paul Newman in 1988.
